Conference Dates: November 30 – December 1, 2024 (Pre-study co-hosted with WHO Kobe Centre on November 29)
Location: Kobe City College of Nursing
Theme: "Rethinking Disaster Nursing in an Evolving Risk Environment: From Primary Health Care for the Planet and People to Social Innovation"

Overview:
WSDN2024 is an international conference bringing together disaster nursing researchers and experts from around the world. The conference will explore the application of disaster nursing practices within communities and discuss pathways for future advancements. It aims to merge local insights with global knowledge to develop policy recommendations and actionable strategies for disaster risk reduction.

The main program is structured around the Seven Pledges of the Bangkok Declaration, aligned with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, to assess progress toward 2030 goals, propose further actions, and enhance resilience in health and disaster nursing.

Networking Lounge - “Omotenashi and Global Connections”

The Networking Lounge provides an opportunity for disaster nursing researchers and healthcare professionals from around the world to connect. Guests can enjoy Japanese traditions such as tea ceremony, flower arranging, and calligraphy in an atmosphere of hospitality.

Pre-Study - WKC Forum @ JICA Kansai

Jointly organized with WHO Kobe Centre, the WKC Forum will address planetary health, smart cities, and the future of well-being in disaster nursing.
